I was one of the Stupid Appraisers, when the HVCC was announced. I have been a full time appraiser for over 30 years and I thought that I had plenty of clients and appraisal work. I found out quickly, when the HVCC went into effect, that my practice was in trouble. No more orders... Clients had been forced to move to the Management Companies. No more direct ordering. Business was Terrible!
I started looking for Management Companies on my own and made application to several. I found that most of the applications were super time consuming. I started looking for an easier way. I started looking for a Management Company Listing so that I could start making mass applications. After a LOT of searching I found a website that looked promising and the website owner was also a practicing appraiser. I ordered his e-document. I found that he had made it a simple process, for me to make a lot of applications, to the Management Companies. He even provided, in his e-document, a lot of suggestions he personally used to get work. He also made the signup links to the Management Companies shorter, so that it was very easy to type into my Browser. I had used a super time saving free tool in the past, Robo Form, which proved to greatly speed the application process.
11/1/2009: It has only been 3 weeks since I started the Management Company Application Process and I am now approved with over 50 Management Companies. I started getting orders from them in less than a week.
4/23/2010: It is some time later and I am now approved with over 150 Management Companies and have settled on a few that I like working with. I get almost 100% of my work from a few of the select ones. I still do some local referral work too.
I can't recommend this e-document highly enough. It's worth twice the price and then some.
